The University of York gives , United World College Scholarships, Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships and International Entrance Scholarships for international students who would like to take a full-time undergraduate study at the University of York, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is Canada's third largest university. The only ineligible applicants are citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
Eligibility:
You MUST be applying for September entry. Submit to the university an application for admission either through the OUAC website or by York online application.
You must be nominated for the award(s) by your high school. Note that a student can be nominated for more than one award, however only one nominee per school will be considered for each award.
You should have a Study Permit to study in Canada as an international student.
You must be entering directly from high school (no more than two years after graduation) to the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree program in one of the Faculties listed below.
You must possess an excellent academic record and must have demonstrated leadership through community service or excellence in the arts, sports or other areas of individual achievement.
You must submit required application documentation as mentioned in the application form.
Specific eligibility criteria for each scholarship award:
1. United World College Scholarships:
* Enrolled in a United World College and high academic
standing
* To renew - maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a
9-point York scale) in each academic year at York
* York requests that only one candidate be nominated per
school
2. International Entrance Scholarships:
* Highest academic average
* Demonstrated leadership skill
* Letters of recommendation
* To renew - maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a
9-point
York scale) in each academic year at York
3. Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships:
* Highest academic average
* Nomination by high school
* Leadership and demonstrated skills
* To renew - must have a high academic standing (7.80 on a
9-point York scale) in each academic year at York
